Rehearsal Report # 13 (1.29.17)
- Thank you for the props brought in today!
- We would like to add another blanket to the props list for Act 1, Scene 2.
Rehearsal Report # 12 (1.28.17)
- Nothing for tonight. Thanks!
Rehearsal Report # 11 (1.26.17)
- Beth is going to throw the placemats around the room in Act 1, Scene 2, so will we be able to cut the placemats into different sections?
Production Meeting # 3 (1.26.17)
- Nour prepared a list of props we don’t have yet that was distributed to the group and we went through the list to discuss each item.
- Linda will bring in 2 wine bottles.
- Marcia can take care of the clothes strewn about the bedroom. Just let her know what we need.
- Laura dropped off more hand props to Nour and reports that she bought queen size bedding.
The datebook that came in is too large to fit in Victor’s coat pockets. Need one like half the size.
- Katryne will take care of the furniture and the tea tray.
- The last thing Laura needs to get are the liquor bottles, including the 6-pack.
One of the 6 is opened and drunk on stage.
- Mixing salad dressing – Linda would like the cast to start practicing mixing water in containers and a small cutting board w/ knife. Don’t need real food items until tech.
- Marcia reports she has a back-up kitchen block of knives that we can borrow! She’ll also bring in her salad spinner.
- Wrapping for the placemats – tissue paper and ribbon, no box
- Cloth napkins, not paper and we do not need the napkin holder!
- Magazines – Nour took some from the Makeup classroom for rehearsal and then Linda will do some research on 1998 food magazines they could have written for.
- 2 books for the final scene – Linda will give some thought as to what the titles should be. Laura will bring in two small hardcover books for rehearsal.
- Bouquet – “Summer flowers” - comes in wrapped from the florist and then put into a vase from the set dressing in the kitchen. Katryne recommended long stemmed flowers, that could be cut down, purchased from the dollar store. The vase should be opaque to hide the fake stems.
- 2 canvas bags to carry the groceries – Katryne has one. Linda will check her house too.
- Need two different coffee makers for Act I and Act II
- Tea set – will need a pot, sugar bowl and creamer. Don’t have that in storage, but we have plenty of teacups and saucers
- 2 more lunch plates (empty) and then 2 dessert plates that are different since it’s a different house.
- Katryne is hopeful we can get into prop storage… if we still can’t after the ACTF week, we can explore purchasing the rest of what we need.
Rehearsal Report # 10 (1.25.17)

Production Meeting # 2 (1.18.17)
- Joe and Lauren brought up the idea of them taking wedding photos to have in Gabe and Karen’s house. Is this a prop we would want to include?
Rad. Who's coordinating/ taking it? Should I? Or are they staging something and the image sent to me? (Or headshot pics sent to me and I photoshop onto a glorious 80s image?) - Katryne Hecht
Lauren and Joe plan to take the photo with Linda's blessing. It will be placed on the night stand in the bedroom as set dressing.

Production Meeting # 2 (1.18.17)
- Off book day is Monday 1/23, so we would like to begin introducing rehearsal props that week, beginning on Tuesday 1/24.
- Marcia has a salad spinner that she might be able to bring in as a prop.
- The time period of the first act is 1998, so we will try to look for props that would fit in with the time.
- There were many questions raised about wine bottles, including: how many do we need, should they be open or closed, what kinds of labels should they have? Linda mentioned that they would be drinking red wine.
- Linda brought up the idea of balloon-shaped wine glasses, large at the bottom so that there only needs to be a little bit of wine in them. Chris said that Crate and Barrel has a selection of acrylic glasses.
- A French press might be used instead of a coffee pot-- Alan might have a plastic one that we can use.
- Props does not need to worry about the wedding photo that Joe and Lauren would like to create.
- There is a blanket that will be in Beth and Tom’s bedroom at the end of their bed. It can be just a plain color, not something crocheted, and something that would fit on a twin bed. It would be something neutral instead of colorful.
- The bandaids needed are for a cut on the finger.
- There might be magazines, like a 1998 edition of Time Magazine. Linda will think about other things that they might read.
- The placemats are from Italy, something fancy, and they are a wrapped gift.
- The pillows are bed pillows, with different cases between Act 1 (Tom and Beth’s bedroom) and Act 2 (Karen and Gabe’s bedroom).
- The vase would be a plain color, nothing showy.
- The date book would be a man’s date book, pocket-sized, maybe leather-bound.
- The sneaker belongs to an 8 year old boy, something small.
- We do not need real food props until tech week and performances.
- It was suggested that Linda, Laura, and Katryne meet to go over the details of how scenic and props will go together.
Katryne and Laura, since I am adding the photo to the props list (Act 2, Scene 4), an 8 x 10 frame suitable for Gabe & Karen's wedding photo would be wonderful.
